It's dead week and I should be studying right now but I'm feeling uninspired and distracted. Partial to my distraction is my stumbling upon this awesome shoe-website called Solestruck and they have amazzzinggly cute shoes including many options from my fave Jeffrey Campbell.

Warmth in the Midst of Winter

My recent obsession, though I've seen it in fashion and beauty magazine pages for years, is the timeless red lip. I feel that it can work more like an accessory than just as make-up. The red lip can spark glamor into the most simple outfit, like with a LBD or a pale colored dress, and even inject femininity into androgynous outfits, like the military look. Something about it is able to light up your face, while keeping you looking demure and pulled- together. It creates an interesting contrast to neutral colors - camel, gray, black &white -the key essentials for this winter's wardrobe.
The red lip is BOLD, yet so refined.

Blogging

I've always wanted to start a blog but never got around to do it. Partly because I procrastinate like crazy, but mostly because I found it kind of intimidating to start my own blog when I constantly want to compare what my soon-to-be blog is going to look like to the blogs I religiously follow: Late Afternoon, Cupcakes & Cashmere, The Sartorialist, and the list goes on.

But today I felt the sudden urge to just do it.  Let's see how it goes from here.  <3
